Cancun before and after videos
August 24, 2007 on 6:54 pm | In All, Cancun News, Cancun Videos, Web Work | No CommentsDean has come and gone and to be honest it was nothing worse than the storms we get here every month or two. Sat there waiting for something to happen and it didnt, it hardly even rained. The new blog we ran though was an oustanding success - around 120,000 unique vistors in less than a week including 58,000+ on Tuesday. It also attracted widespread press interest and I ended up doing 3 interviews, one for the tv and two for the radio.
The videos below I took 12 hours either side of the hurricane and show that Cancun has not really been affected at all.
Isla Mujeres Booze Cruise Video
July 9, 2007 on 10:39 pm | In All, Cancun Videos, Home Life, Parties and Events, Web Work | No CommentsWhen we were back in England I bought a new camcorder, a JVC fancy thing with internal hard drive. It’s so much easier to use than our old one that ran with tape.
Jannet has developed quite a skill at making montages of video clips, and is in the process of producing several different ones for us to promote our cancuncare website with.
This is the first one Jannet’s made which features our Isla Mujeres booze cruise.
The cruise we do is a private hire of a catamaran and we sail over to Isla Mujeres. It’s open bar all day, lunch included and we normally do a golf cart convoy of the island, I think the most carts we ever had at once was 9. We’ve held about 15 of these cruises so far this year and averaged around 25 people each trip, so almost 400 people have come along.
Approach to Cancun Airport
August 29, 2006 on 3:34 pm | In All, Cancun Videos | 1 CommentHere’s a fun little video I found on YouTube which shows the approach to Cancun airport as seen by the pilot. It’s always a great feeling when you’re looking out of the window after a long flight and you see the jungle, then suddenly you’ve landed and your vacation in Cancun really can get started at last.
More video from the Beach Party in Cancun
August 14, 2006 on 1:32 pm | In All, Cancun Videos, Home Life, Parties and Events | No CommentsHere’s two more videos from the ‘Worlds Biggest Beach Party’ held over the weekend in Cancun. The first video is a pan across the beach at Playa Delfines with a view of the stage where some sexy dancers were performing.
Video of the Worlds Biggest Beach Party - Cancun, Mexico
August 12, 2006 on 11:38 pm | In All, Cancun News, Cancun Videos, Home Life, Parties and Events | No CommentsTo celebrate the restoration of the beaches in Cancun and also to generate some world wide publicity the ‘Worlds Biggest Beach Party’ was held over 3 days in August. Officials were expecting 30,000 people to attend and the party would extend along thirteen miles of beach. Stretching from Punta Nizuc to Playa Delfines there were 3 main centres. We visited the main party event at Playa Delfines on Friday, a family friendly event with no alcohol allowed, we were greeted by hundreds of people enjoying the Cancun sun.
I have 5 videos to post the first one is above and you can see the second by following the continuation link, apologies that the quality is not all that (and for my big thumb on the second video!). I’ll have to use my digicam next time instead of the movie function of the stills camera. The other three will be posted in a day or twos time.

Video of Coco Bongo Show - Cancun
August 11, 2006 on 11:15 am | In All, Cancun Reviews, Cancun Videos | 2 CommentsAfter my Review of Coco Bongo a few days ago I thought I’d add in a video of the Cirque Soleil like performers I mentioned. As you can see it’s spectacular and shows just a little of what the amazing atmosphere is like at one of the top nightclubs in Cancun.
There are thousand of amateur video clips of Cancun out there that are permitted to be reproduced and this is the ideal medium for them to be shared, so I’ll be adding more Cancun video clips regularly. I’ll also be taking some video to add to the blog myself.
