Playa Marlin - Cancun Beach Video

Here’s another video of the beach in Cancun. This time it’s Playa Marlin which is located behind Plaza Kukulcan almost in the centre of the Ocean side of the Cancun Hotel Zone. Hotels in this area include the Tucancun and Villas Marlin are also right by here. Ii took this video last week on a hot August afternoon.

and on our visit almost deserted. Before Wilma our favourite beach bar called Carisma was here on a much smaller stretch of beach, but was was totally wiped out. After Wilma, I remember taking pics of here and the beach was totally gone with the waves lapping against a 5 foot drop from the access path. 

Now, after the massive Cancun beach restoration project carried out between January and March this beach is bigger than it has ever been. Six months on, despite initial fears, the beach has not been washed away again by the Ocean.
